Tech Support Questions

Q: When I try to chat, I get a message saying that I need a Java-enabled browser. What does this mean?
A: This means that you need to download a new web browser. You can download one for free from Netscape or from Microsoft. If you are an AOL user, you can download a new browser from AOL.

Q: What is Shockwave and why do I need it?
A: You need a special piece of software installed on your computer called Shockwave in order to play many of the games on our web site. You can download Shockwave from Macromedia.

Q: Sometimes things take a really long time to download or don't connect at all. What's wrong?
A: It's hard to figure out why things take a long time on the Internet. Send a message to support@cyberkids.com. In the message, please try to include the following information so that we can help you:

  1. The type of computer that you are using
  2. The type of web browser that you are using
  3. Any error messages that you are getting
  4. The url of the page where the problem occured and a description of the problem.
