Q: When I try to chat, I get a message saying that I need a Java-enabled browser. What does this mean?
A: This means that you need to download a new web browser. You can download one for free from Netscape or from Microsoft. If you are an AOL user, you can download a new browser from AOL.
Q: What is Shockwave and why do I need it?
A: You need a special piece of software installed on your computer called Shockwave in order to play many of the games on our web site. You can download Shockwave from Macromedia.
Q: Sometimes things take a really long time to download or don't connect at all. What's wrong?
A: It's hard to figure out why things take a long time on the Internet. Send a message to support@cyberkids.com. In the message, please try to include the following information so that we can help you:
- The type of computer that you are using
- The type of web browser that you are using
- Any error messages that you are getting
- The url of the page where the problem occured and a description of the problem.
