After the four friends untied the raft logs and pulled them up on shore they went home to lunch. They met back at the fort at about 1:00 P.M. Randy, Aaron, and Trevor brought nails while Susan brought screws and a level.

Randy climbed up into one of the trees. He was holding an end of one of the cut logs. Across from him, Aaron was also climbing, holding the other end of the log. When the two reached an appropriate height, they stopped to nail on the first support of Fort Eagle.
